Also receiving votes (on at least two ballots): Florida Gulf Coast 50, Oregon 49, Colorado 44, Georgia Tech 36, Gonzaga 35, Florida State 21, UCF 21, Oregon State 19, UCLA 12, Nebraska 11, Virginia Tech 9, Arkansas 9, Missouri 3.

The following teams appeared on only one ballot, thus falling short of the "receiving votes" category: Missouri State, Stephen F. Austin.

Thank you to all who voted. Twenty-five ballots were submitted.

The next poll will be Monday, December 20, 2021.

With the hopefully short absence of Paige, and assuming we win the GTech and UCLA games (but not convincingly), will UConn fall in the rankings with Paige's absence? How far?

By the way, 2nd year we miss an Hailey Van Lith / Paige Matchup.

for a poll like this, how do you account for injuries? If Paige is out for 4 weeks and we lose 2 games, do we drop to 10 to 15. If she comes back at that point, do we suddenly go back to 2, or do we have to work our way back up? If we have 4 losses at the end of the year, do we get rated as a 4 loss team, or are we a 1 or 2 loss team based upon the personnel on hand year end? Similarly, say a team goes undefeated but loses 2 starters to injuries in the last game, are they number 1 or down to 15? Do the injuries only affect seeding in the NCAA tournament? Are there any guidelines in the AP or other polls?

So our Big East does not appear too great, at least so far. I was hoping before season started that Seton Hall, DePaul and Marquette might be worth a mention. None of them seem to get a top 100 recruit. Maybe they can do better with portal transfers.

This is a poll taken of Boneyarders, not the AP or coaches. My feeling is that it’s how Boneyarders feel that teams have performed to date.

any one of those teams can give UConn a game without Bueckers.........I assume if UConn wins all of their upcoming games regardless of the score, they should stay in the top 5-6......

I'm actually surprised how closely it matches the AP poll this week.

No. Everybody knows UCONN is more than just Paige. Even if UCONN drops a couple of games, I can't see them falling out of the top 10.

Well, it's a moral victory that I had 23 of the 25 that the BY picked. I was (as probably we all were) grasping for straws to pick the last several teams.

I did have the mayo team in the top 25. ;)

OMG! UNC ahead of NC State? With the schedule the Wolfpack Women have faced thus far?
Just another example of using a computer algorithm as a standard. They are manipulated by design. And geared towards certain results.

The Coaches Poll was released this afternoon. I'm not gonna say much about it.... besides the fact that they need to drug test the coaches who voted. Without question BY Poll > The Coaches Poll.
