It's one thing to bravely stand your ground against a bigger player and take a charge for your team. It's another thing to flop at any contact whatsoever, and to slide your body to initiate contact and fool a ref into calling a charge. I hope he feels pretty proud of drawing Alex's second foul on a BS call. I'm sure he does. I just rewound and watched it and the ref is a moron for falling for that. I wish they would start calling defensive fouls on flops, but that's another issue.

It's part of the game but it shouldn't be.

I agree. I still cannot figure out what the other color was on the uniforms but it looked like orange to me too. Especially the student section wearing those t-shirts. Those definitely looked like orange. How do you hand out shirts that look orange when our colors are blue?? Terrible!

The announcer was saying the same thing, and we thought he was colorblind. Looked red enough on my tv (at least the student's tee shirts).

Those uniforms had no redeeming qualities at all. This was a nice publicity stunt by Nike, but it did nothing for UConn. I won't call them ugly, but they were a definate step down.

I had DVRd the game and watched because nobody told me to avoid watching the misery. But the uniforms saved the day. It was so hard to tell UConn from ND thanks to those uniforms, that I kept cheering for any made hoop and UConn won on my tube 98-0. Change for change sake is not always good. We are blue and white, not grey and some other nondescript color.

tshirts were orange at the game from afar. The shoes are fine if they were all red... but they had the dark grey in there and putting orange red with dark grey is painful on the eyes. Also whos idea at nike was to put numebrs on jerseys that noone can read. They should have been white or dark blue.

those uni's are as ugly as their play has been......a real all around eye sore of late. not much going on but dysfunction wherever you look.

I will say that alot of the team are surefire NBA ready when it comes to defense

I tried making this very point on another thread but others strongly felt people should wear whatever Nike hands to them lest we "leave millions on the table." If I'm a student, I'm not turning down a free t-shirt. On the other hand, I could see the Cameron Crazies holding a mass pregame burning in K-Ville if Nike tried to get them to wear something that wasn't blue or white.
