Former OL starter at the U, 5th year senior with immediate eligibility (similar to LK on BB team) announced he will transfer. UCONN recruited him out of high school. I suspect the staff knows this and will contact him.

Sounds great, but how does he have immediate eligibility? Did he graduate?

The staff that recruited him out of high school is no longer here.

Here is the article on him transferring:

http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/01/15/3871460/offensive-lineman-malcolm-bunche.html

He's a pretty big kid

And, this is his recruiting profile:

http:// /Player/Malcolm-Bunche-3878?Institution=8906

So he's eligible to play this season because he earned his degree and he's transferring because he was used sparingly and he wants more playing time. Nothing wrong with that except....it says he's looking at bigger schools. He says...
“ ‘Pops, I want to see what it’s like at a bigger university.’ ” Then this from his sister... Malcolm’s older sister Cetera wouldn’t divulge any possible destinations but hinted that they were big-time, public-school programs.

Hmmm...if you want more playing time, do you transfer to a big-time program??

Miami has 17,000 undergrads. If you need a much bigger school than that, you're only looking at half a dozen places. Many of them are elite football programs. If he couldn't get time at Miami, why would he get time there, and why would they give up a roster spot to him?

Miami has less than 11,000 undergrads as of the 2012-2013 school year. Doubt Miami has increased enrollment to 17,000 in one year.

True, the 17,000 was with grad students included.

Great article. can't transfer to an ACC school/ or anybody on their schedule per article. HMMMM! Big time public ....define big time public that has a spot(s) open/playing time available? Most big time schools won't give him the playing time if ...they have the depth.
Then, look at depth chart and see where there is a fit where you get the playing time to get an invite as a free agent/combine/...projected mid level NFL interest at a school that has been getting guys a look at the next level.
. AT 6'5"- 327...warrants more than a casual look by any school (in need of big bodies that has had recruiting interrupted) for someone who started every game in 2012 for the U.
Has maturity. .....
IS THIS A POSSIBILTY and FIT???
