I'd imagine the truth is somewhere in between close game terrority regardless of who wins.Heading into this game it's basically...
Illinois fanbase: we beat a great Iowa State team. Bring on UConn!
Our fanbase: boy does Iowa State blow. We're going to smoke Illinois.
What fan bases including ours say is inconsequential for the players and coaches of these 2 teams at this point. Both teams are going to lay it all on the line and see what happens. I just don’t think Hurley or the players are even aware of this bulletin board crap.Heading into this game it's basically...

That’s actually been our biggest flaw — taking the foot off the gas early when the game has been won — and NW did expose it. It’s not a flaw that’s going to cause us to lose, but they did expose our flaw. What flaws did NW expose? Our team can get a little complacent when we're up by 30?
Don't remember that one, but one I especially like was AS saying, "They thought they could win tonight. They could not."Anyone remember this UConn quote? "They said they wanted to run with us...they don't know anything about running with us."
It definitely could cause us to lose. We only have to do it against a good team that can score for disaster to kick in. Hurley is so cranked up and tuned in to this stuff that they should be prepared for it, but single game elimination is always a bear for 67 teams. There’s just no room for a bad night, a mental lapse or taking your foot off the gas at this point. I’ve got that March stomachache kicking in.That’s actually been our biggest flaw — taking the foot off the gas early when the game has been won — and NW did expose it. They didn't expose that flaw. We've had that flaw for the entire season. That’s actually been our biggest flaw — taking the foot off the gas early when the game has been won — and NW did expose it. It’s not a flaw that’s going to cause us to lose, but they did expose our flaw.
LOL It sounds like something Sanogo would say. : "They thought they could win. They could not."Anyone remember this UConn quote? "They said they wanted to run with us...they don't know anything about running with us."
They were rated better but my eye test says different. If they want to beat Uconn they will have to score more then 72. Uconn will be dropping 90+ on their defense, and Uconn is a better defensive team then Iowa St.
And yet that supposed flaw has resulted in 0 lossesThey didn't expose that flaw. We've had that flaw for the entire season.
