Build your all-time starting five with $15

If we're allowed to take guys for 0, that changes things.

I'm too indecisive to make a definitive list, because there are so many options. But having a Marcus Williams or someone at PG would change the equation. The 2006 team being a big disappointment makes people forget how unbelievable he was that season, passing and shooting.
That team was simply a guard short. The frontcourt was awesome but Marcus Williams had to carry the team on his back so often because all we had as another ballhandler was Austrie. If AJ Price didn't have the serious health problem which almost took his life and then the laptop scandal that team would've been unstoppable. It's crazy to think Andrew Bynum would've been on that team too.

There was so much drama and what could've been from 2005-2009. If our leading scorer Rashad didn't get staph infection, if AJ didn't almost pass away, laptops, AJ blowing out his knee. Bynum and Nate Miles. Dyson injury. Nate Miles was schooling everyone in the practices/scrimmages.

All true.

BUT Marcus was incredibly good that season. Like, unreal good. The season disappointing us makes people forget him in the PG pantheon. The fact he did it by himself in the backcourt makes it even more impressive.

I was looking back on his tourney run and he was shooting an unreal 50/50/95 in it I believe.

While getting about 8 assists a game. He was playing out of his mind.

Yeah I remember his passing but end of that season he was unconscious from 3 as well.

As a lefty, his deliberate, herky jerky style was so pleasing to me as well. But when he was on, my goodness he was incredible.

I was always surprised he didn't do well in the league, honestly. I think he just didn't care that much. But dude could hoop.

PG- El Amin $2
PG- Napier $3
SF- Castle $3
SF- Butler $4
C- Clingan $3

I have a two headed monster at PG which is the deepest position so they’re both steals. castle is the best wing defender in UConn history paired with Clingan, who’s the single best deal on the board. Round it all out with Tough juice as my stretch 4 and arguably a better two-way player than any of the $5 guys besides Okafor.

I like this team a ton, but not much outside shooting.

Yeah the official numbers were 20 ppg, 8.75 assists on 52/55/95 splits. Missed one FT all tourney in 23 attempts.

He did have a too cool for school style to his game that doesnt translate well to fighting for an NBA spot. Crazy how we convinced a few LA guys to go from there to Storrs, CT lol
