Buffalo Post Game Thread

The missed turnovers are killer. We must have dropped 8-10 interceptions already this year. Of course it happens and there's a reason DBs don't play wide receiver, but it's been excessive

Lol. Every time I see LB's (Not just UConn's), I say to myself that's why they're on defense.

Who are we going to play instead of him? I mean you’re not wrong but Evers couldn’t hit simple slant patterns last season.
I would definitely prefer JF. He is UConn's QB1. But, every coachs' conversation should include the admonition . . . aim lower. He's like a pitcher in BB that is constantly wild high. MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT.

JF excels in the vertical game. He does throw that ball for that play high quite often.

We left another steaming pile on the field. The staff ought to be embarrassed…again. These players are overthinking, tentative and micromanaged. It shows up many ways..arm tackling, being pushed back on their heels, delayed fills, lack of aggression. Even our O is regressing with the line not pushing the LOS and keeping their blocks, and receivers suddenly not getting open. Compound this by just plain stupid calls on O and D, and we have a mess in the making. I don’t think I could be more disgusted other than we managed a W despite the stink..
Give the Buffalo D some credit. They are good and they blew up a lot of what we wanted to do.

I do think if they had Roberson and Gaithings we probably would not have won the game.

Yes, indeed. We had trouble with a freshman QB and replacement center.

I don’t know about that. We had our usual late game meltdown and allowed a guy to break one. That wasn’t anything the qb did. Just a blown play by the D, but other than that kept them pretty much in check. Our offense was having a tough time against a pretty tough defense, too. Lembo is a good coach and Buffalo will be pretty good in MAC play as they were last year. They finished the year 9-4.
