It's amazing how all of these sites tie back to one thing: Roussel's website. It's a big part of what's wrong with journalism nowadays. Nobody does an in-depth follow up story anymore. They hear something and then all report the same thing until it's proven false or irrelevant. Makes me think that MHVer and TheDude aren't all that crazy anymore...

I wouldn't say he was UConn's "first choice"... just the first who's agent sung like a canary.

Half of this stuff is posturing for a raise or the "coach-in-waiting" title. Beamer's 67, so maybe he sticks around for 3 or so more years. He's signed through 2016 and he has a provision to receive an administrative salary for 8 years following retirement. Foster reportedly was passed by for the Pitt job.
