If there was one Non Uconn kid I really enjoyed watching it was Brooke McCarty--she is truly a special guard--as Brooke's goes so goes Texas.

A little surprised Nina Davis didn't get grandfathered in.

Also a bit surprising that no player from Oklahoma, the #3 team, was named. But they are very balanced and it's hard to even say who OU's best player is.

McCarty is the main reason Texas beat FSU. She almost single handedly kept them in the game. Very fun to watch even if I was rooting for FSU.

I love tiny guards like McCarty that take the court with big smiles, big hearts, and big skills. Not impressed with Lauren Cox, though. As the highest ranked recruit, I expected more out of her both in athleticism and attitude. Only saw her a few times, but she seemed to saunter around like she was already an NCAA All-American while she was doing very little on the court.

Brooke McCarty, the fifth grader Texas has running their team at the point, is one of my favorite players. Lots of basketball smarts and not intimidated by the big girls.
