I had to "watch" the game via ESPN game tracker tonight and was heartbroken for the team. I was understandably upset on my drive home but my friend played Kelly Clarkson's new song "Broken and Beautiful" to cheer me up. Not only is Kelly (IMHO) one of the best singers in modern music, but the lyrics are wonderful. It's as if she embodies the players on this team while giving them words of wisdom:
I'm a Superwomen. I'm Strong. I'm phenomenal. I am enough. The only way to live now is to know you're gonna fly.
What a perfect description of this team. I am so proud of each player and their accomplishments throughout their careers. Success is not measured solely by the number of national championships. I will miss Phese and Lou so much and I am thankful for everything they gave to the school and to us fans. We truly are the luckiest fans in all of college BB. I hope Baylor and ND have a great game on Sunday! Oh and I've included the link to the song in case anyone is interested
