I was pleasantly surprised that a shot was taken since the shot clock was off. It was a statement and a great reward to a player that worked so hard for the team.

Geno was key to making this happen, too. If you can get to the game video and watch just before this, you'll see Chong with the ball crossing mid-court line, and with Chong watching Geno, he emphatically points several times at Pulido- he was calling for a play where Pulido would get to corner and hopefully Chong would get the ball to her. Chong did a good job of splitting two defenders while getting inside and then kicking the ball back out to Pulido, who didn't hesitate at all, and the shot went through as purely dead center as possible. I screamed too when it went in, what joy on Pulido's face and such a huge smile!

As many have said it was a highlight! I jumped out of the chair screaming! What sports are all about.

I'm sorry. I just had to play it again. Happy Mother's Day to everybody and don't forget the Kentucky Derby today.

Watching "the shot" and the reaction of Pulido and the players on the bench never gets 0ld.
