Had 17 points in 13 minutes, as WVU upset ranked Oklahoma.

Some of us wish we had offered/gotten Holmes.

Are OU and WVU really in the same conference?!

She's another one I wish we got (along with Xylena). My opinion is that the coaching staff made a mistake when they decided to stop pursuing Bria Holmes. It's my belief that they felt they had Deshields in line and that Bria would have created a logjam so they chose to pass on her. Given the plethora of players we apparently after in 2014 and beyond, it appears the staff has learned from their mistakes...

Eric...exactly right.

Is there evidence why (and when) they stopped pursuing?

Just want to make sure were working from facts and not 20/20 hindsight.

on edit: Looked at her stats: http://www.wvusports.com/content/wbbstats2013.pdf

Avg. 5pts a game, 9 assists 19 TO, Shooting .31, .185 on threes
Don't disagree her stats aren't eye popping. But she's the 5th leading scorer on a team that barely averages 65 PPG and she's only playing 11 MPG. not saying she would be a starter here, or better than Tuck or Jefferson, but given we've lost Walker, Johnson and Engeln to transfers, and we lost Faris, Buck and Doty to graduation, only adding Saniya to the fold gives us only 9 players next year. If Holmes wasn't quite ready, she could have red shirted this year giving a class of 2 for next year's freshmen.

As I remember the situation, We were supposedly leading for DD and Taya during a stage when HOLMES WAS STILL available It seemed to me at the time that with our current players that she would have been down the depth chart Since we did not get either DD,Taya, nor anyone else other than Saniya for 2013 BRIA certainly would have been nice to have

and maybe cause she's was a kid playing HS ball in Ct UConn thought she may have been overrated?

I assume Ashley Perez wanted a chance to "play"
