Bria Holmes at UCONN?

You're right. She attended multiple Uconn games, but was not offered.

UConn had already signed Kaleena and looked to be signing Morgan. Bria Holmes is a terrific player but I wouldn't give up Kaleena or Morgan for her.

I read a blog that she was a victim of the recruiting battle involving De Shields in order to entice "D' to come to UConn. If true, it seems games are played both on & off the court and often lost !

The absence of a shot clock in the CIAC had zero impact on her chances of getting a UConn scholarship since 95% of recruiting is based on AAU play. Also the absence of a shot clock didn't prevent her from averaging almost 28 ppg and seldom affected her team's pace of play. Geno would have to be an awful evaluator of talent if a shot clock was even a tiny factor in any recruiting situation.

Transferring out-of-state might have helped her development, however, since she did not play a very strong schedule at Hillhouse..

Just saying Kaleena was already in the fold, playing at the same position as Bria Holmes.
