http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/90467/eamonn-brennans-wooden-watch-week-two Thoughts?? I know its Brennan but figured its something to talk about since no game until monday... Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Wiggins, Gordon, Smart, Smith, Bazz, McDermott, Appling, Carson? Personally i think people are looking at not who the best player in the country is but who the best NBA prospect is. Look at all their statistics and the competition
It's not a bad list. Can't think of anyone that should be in it that isn't.

Wiggins and Gordon are probably at the bottom of the list. Not a fan of Appling but he is manning the #1 team. Smith is too up and down for me. Randle, Parker, Bazz, Smart, Carson and McDermott all make sense to me.

Watch out for Smart...He is getting media attention, athletic enough to make flashy plays and is a top 5 prospect. I respect him for staying another year in college though and seems like a good kid. But I would love to see Bazz win it especially since Kemba didn't.

Oklahoma St will be a tough out in March just because of Smart.

Jahii Carson is like a mixture of Bazz and Boat. He is really good though.

i know what you're saying and thats my point- media attention, flashy plays and nba draft stock should not be how you determine POY

Marcus Smart has been great so far, yes he has the media behind him but its been deserved. Memphis might have been overrated due to their inability to ever beat a top team out of conference but Smart obliterated a good group of guards dolo.
