That's the rule, but Nnaji was drafted. He even played in the NBA summer league. The NCAA could easily have said "you were drafted by the NBA, that cost you your eligibility". Instead they said "you never played sn NBA game, come on in".I have no doubt it will be challenged. And I’m not 100% up to date on the rules. But doesn’t a current player in college basketball need to willingly forgo their eligibility to stay in the NBA draft (à la Bediako)?
PS: I agree with you btw it was a dangerous precedent
The precedent they set was that a player dan get drafted and still play college ball. The loss of eligibility by entering the draft rule no longer has any teeth.
