I'm pretty excited about a potential Stanford-Arkansas matchup. Then the winner should get Louisville.

UConn should be pretty interesting. Syracuse is an interesting 8 then they get Rhybe Howard or Caitlin Clark before Baylor.

I think NC State has the easiest path of the 1s with clear runway to Texas AM.

I'd say UCONN is probably the toughest.

Has the NCAA selection committee released its ranked list of 64 teams? They did that for the men's tourney.

Seems like we know top 8 were:

1. Stanford
2. UConn
3. NC State
4. SC
5. Texas A&M
6. MD
7. Baylor
8. Louisville

I feel it’s as exciting as ever this year considering how open this thing is. My brackets will probably fall apart quickly

Wait, what? I didn't think the WNIT produced a bracket, they did matchups each round...:D

Great year for women’s basketball, with so many great teams. This bracket will be fun, I see a lot of upsets.

SCar---------------------Maryland
Top notch defense vs. Top notch offense
Weak offense vs Weak Defense

Who knows?

Weak offense is a little bit of a stretch. Massey rates them 8th in that department.

They struggle against strong defenses, but weak is probably not quite right.

And MD can play defense in spurts. Not exactly weak either

I kind of assume that Oregon State will the o

Maryland is a matchup where Grissette would be missed.

Maryland takes so many threes that might mitigate the presumed rebounding edge South Carolina would carry into the game.

South Carolina is going to need to ride Boston if it is going to have great success in this tournament. She needs to put up some 20 and 10s.

An offense that can't make layups is weak to me and all of our losses have been marred by missed 4th quarter layups. I won't say that's the ENTIRE reason we lost 4 games but it was a large reason.

I think South Carolina's difficulty converting contested shots and offensive rebounds in the paint is definitely a problem this season, but I wouldn't say they have a weak offense myself.

I would probably criticize our turnovers and occasional shot selection more than anything else.
