Hey hey fans, well, I'm a day late. Good excuse tho, my dad is here for a week, so I'm trying to be more present and less online.

UNC in and Tenn out of top 16.

Big Ten - 13
SEC - 11
ACC - 7
Big 12 - 7
Big East - 2
Summit - 2

Any scenario that involves Texas v. South Carolina in the other semifinal, and one of them having to get by Michigan to get there, is fine with me.

A Michigan, Vanderbilt bracket sounds like hell

This bracket works well for UConn. I don’t see Oklahoma being an issue. Onto the Final Four; UCLA and LSU is the match up to see. I honestly think that Kim would win this game. It would be great to see UConn then whip the Tigers by 30+ points in the SF’s. I believe the Finals will be a bit tougher playing against Texas. Yes, Vic beats Dawn in the other SF.

.-.
I'm just hoping they stay in the Top 25 until after UConn stomps their YOU NO WHAT'S....

I don't and I never will. The stench from that university sending supposed recruiting violations by Geno to the NCAA is long lingering!
For what it’s worth, Pat Summit sent a lengthy list of supposed UConn recruiting violations to the SEC in 2006, spurred on by a group of TN alums. The violations centered on the recruiting of Maya. Only 1 violation was upheld, that an impermissible visit was arranged by UConn to ESPN HQ in CT.

I will never forgive the handful of alums that pushed Pat to file the complaint. I have long since forgiven Pat. 5 years later she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Early symptoms of that terrible disease include confusion, memory loss, depression and irritability to name a few. It is highly likely that Pat was suffering from those symptoms when she filed the complaint.

As everyone knows, Geno broke down in tears when he met Pat again after her diagnosis became public. He also made a 6-figure donation to the charity she set up to fight Alzheimer’s. It’s long since time for all UConn fans to let it go……

I’ve long since forgiven Pat. Geno did long ago and I take my cue from him. Besides, Pat’s early decision to play UConn at all, when she was sitting on top of the mountain, was one of the factors in Geno’s success.

When I think of Tennessee, I mainly think of the school as a cautionary tale, of failing to appoint the right successor or to support them. This may also be a product of Pat’s decline. And maybe I harbor a vague, ill-defined grudge for how they treated Evina. Actually, I know next to nothing about it other than some vague misgivings. Geno made an obscure remark about it and that’s all I’ve got.

But back to the thread, I hope Tennessee can return at least to the second weekend this time. Caldwell appears to be an effective recruiter. But I think her pressing style of play is beginning to look a little threadbare. Can she morph the team into something more sustainable long term next season?

I think Louisville is the toughest #4 seed, and should be a #3 who could knock off most of the #2's by mid-February.

It is good to see Vandy on the #3 line. The Big East should have three in the dance come March.

Go Huskies!!!

I don't think Lville is done yet. I believe they will get into the 3 line and even into the high 2 line if they can navigate the ACC. They have a good mix of talent.

I think the BE entries all depends on whether one team can emerge from SHall, SJohns, Mquette and Creighton or whether they all beat each other up and none of them get in. Nova looks like they have #2 locked up.

Time to circle 1/1/2026 on the WCBB calendar, as Seven (7) undefeated teams play,

I'm thinking four will leave the realm of unbeatens, leaving six teams still standing (UConn will still be unbeaten and #1)

Happy New Year!

Go Huskies!!!

I'm thinking Seton Hall. They just need to believe, and then execute!

Huskies rule!!!
