My own picks, just for fun:

ALBNY: UConn, Ktcky, Louisv, Nebr_, Syracu_, Rutgers
GBORO: SoCar, NoCar, Mrylnd, DeP__, Mich St, WVa
OKLAC: Texas, TxA&M, Stnfrd, Duke_, Georgia, OklaSt
SPOKN: NDame, Baylr, Tenn__, OreSt, Miss St, ArizSt

which put UConn in line to face Nebraska/Syracuse

Top 24 has 6SEC, 5ACC, 4BiG, 4B12, 3PAC, 1AAC, 1BE

I sure hope that isn't how the brackets shake out. It's a walk for UConn, which, after a relatively easy league season, could really use a decent test in, say, the second round.

If the Greensboro Regional ended up being South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, and West Virginia..... the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau would be like

those picks are also inconsistent with the current rankings (after the top 4).

Interesting fact: If you add the average attendance for UNC, Maryland and West Virginia together, it is substantially less than South Carolina's per game attendance so far this year. With Greensboro only 2 1/2 hours from Columbia, that would be an awesome crowd. USC's attendance per game is 9905 and the other 3 combined are a paltry 7336 so far this season. I really hope we sell out our 3 biggest home games this year - Tennessee, Kentucky and Texas A&M.

They will never take Stanford out of the west regional.

They have done so before. If Stanford is a 1 or 2, then, yes they will likely end up West. But if they don't win the PAC, unlikely they would be.

And in my bracket I had no choice. Tennessee was the 4th SEC team -- by rule, it had to be placed in a different region from the other 3 teams, forcing it to the West.

I'm hoping that SU is not in the East with UCONN. SU is a pretty solid team this year. They are my darkhorse in the ACC. They gave SC all they wanted until they turned the ball over too much towards the end of the game and that was without Brittany Sykes who should be back playing in the next couple of weeks. They will play Fri. against no. 9 Baylor and that should be a good test. Just don't think they are a cake walk and if they are in the East Albany is only about a 2or 3 hour drive from Syracuse. I would rather see UCONN and SU live in Tampa and see Stewie win her 3rd against them.

Syracuse is one of a few teams within 300 miles of Albany. I think the committee would love to have them there.

Yep...... they can bring their 15 fans to Albany to help boost attendance
