Saw a post about UConn having five players ranked in the top-35 of the BPR player ratings (with all other teams having no more than two). So took a look, and its correct. Pretty damn impressive, we clearly have the best starting 5 of any team (as if we didn't know that already).

The injuries likely helped our guys here. Allowed other players to have a bigger role in those players' absences while the player sitting out wasn't penalized. And our bench being made up of many raw players (outside Diarra) meant the differential between starters and bench is more extreme.

That and those 5 guys are all really good.

Checked back to last year. We had 5 in the top 50 and 2 ranked around 130-140. This year we have the top 5 and then Diarra is 120 and Samson is 790 something and Ball is in the 900s.

Looking at other great teams, Houston has 7(!) In the top 100
