2 points, 2 boards, 2 turnovers and 4 fouls

team actually played decent today, but while good teams have somebody that picks them up, we seem to have become more about somebody letting us down

and there's always somebody

I'll be there Wednesday, obviously a must win

get well coach

lets go Huskies

Oriakhi started out fine. They called a couple of fouls on him by the 16 minute mark. But he was playing so much better than Drummond at that point that Blaney brought him back in around the 8 minute mark.

His third foul was also borderline.

He had a bad game in part because he couldn't stay on the floor.

It's all in how you see a game. I don't think there's any reason to blame any of the players. AO is AO. Giffey is Giffey.

This is a team game. Some players are better than others and not all of the guys are Kemba Walker or Emeka Okafor.

So, AO had a bad game.

AO's two fouls at the beginning of the game were weak and AD was playing great.

AO is a captain and he doesn't seem to be sulking.

Let's be supportive.

"They" didn't "call a couple fouls" on him.
HE COMMITTED two fouls.

One was a stupid shoulder-down charge.
The other was - I don't recall, but I remember thinking it was an obvious foul.

Jeez man. We need to take responsibility for where we are at so that we don't forget where we have come from.

I thought the first was a flop. I don't remember what the second was.

Regardless, even if it was a flop, AO should not have put himself in such situations.

Other teams have learned that anytime Oriakhi posts and spins to flop and the refs will give them the call regardless. Oriakhi needs to learn to adjust. Today's was a bad call, I thought. It probably didn't affect the outcome. Drummond's injury though...

Honestly, as much as I disliked the call, the refs were, nicely, a non-factor.

I wasn't trying to complain about the refs. It was the only bad call I can remember and the Cuse player sold it really well, so it's understandable.

It wasn't a flop. AO started into his patented - I have no touch or elegance - shoulder-down move and crashed into the defender. Easy call.

Watch it again, Oriakhi's momentum isn't even into the defender. It was a flop. Sure it was a bad move because it's one that is easy to flop on.

Prez is correct on that one it was not a flop and rather a nice play by the defender and one I would like Tyler and a couple of our guys make. It was stupid and he was going nowhere so again his fault. Although his 2nd was ticky tack on a bad interior pass to whomever he was defending. But he and Andre need to stop coming out and getting called for stupid fouls. What the hell is Andre doing trying to take a charge on a hedge from Joseph at the top of the key? Look at it again, it either a charge or a no call, they blew it, but he put himself into that position about a minute into the game - not good!! Need those guys at full speed as much as possible. I actually thought despite the TO's Alex had good energy and the fouls kept him from gaining any potential momentum today, He does need to get rid of the "Rock'em, Sock'em looking lefthanded" throw though, it just doesn't work!!

It may be stupid, but he was going somewhere. He made the shot.

One was a stupid shoulder-down charge.

The one thing that frustrates me about AO more than any other is that he's good for one of these every game, well that and the fact that he has hands of stone.

The contact was there and Oriakhi may have been out of control. I don't think the momentum or force of Oriakhi's butt/back spinning and touching the defender was enough to make a defender fall to the ground. Oriakhi wasn't leaning into the defender, it wasn't his shoulder that touches the defender and it wasn't his arm. It was his back/butt.

I don't think the contact was enough to send the big to the ground without him throwing himself down like he had been shot. Thus he flopped. It was a good defensive play, but still a flop. If the force of the offensive player isn't enough to send you to the ground, you are flopping/selling the call.

Flops work and everyone does it.....Tyler O had 3-4 chances on an outr of control Scoop and one on Waiters.....it works and it's an art!!! The Cuse defender did his job.

Alex is a Junior. He is what he is. A decent inside presence but no Jeff Adrian. He needs to keep his feet and be satisfied to alter shots instead of expecting to block them. I wish we could go back to recruiting the Jeff Adrian,Kevin Freeman types. They never stopped working.

Well, Oriakhi was the starting center on a National Championship team, so I'd take him again and again.

When he's having fun, everybody loves playing for the kid. He's very easy to root for--the sulking in the beginning of this year was an aberration.

AO was absolutely stinking up the place today. he got the ball in the lost post a couple times and bricked two point blank and failed on a couple put backs. the guy is awful! big ups to AD who was begining to dominate in the post until he tweeked his ankle.

AO didn't have a chance to get in rhythm. He was fine to start the game.

Coming from someone who loves soccer: I hate flopping in basketball.

Taking a charge is one thing, but straight flopping is just annoying. It is so darn frustrating to see a 7' 260+ big man try and throw himself to the ground when a 6' 180 PG makes slight contact. I'm not talking about this game, it's just a general thing.

Everyone does do it, even Drummond and I personally wish the rules were changed so that was a defensive foul or no call if the defender is "flopping".

I think if Duke and Cuse play this year about 10 players will have "charges" called on them.

He had two good games right before this. It's been a down year, but they need him to be good.
