Bowl Thread for Degenerates

Easy there bud. Didn’t know Temple was such a juggernaut.
Sorry man. It may be too many points, you may collect. Mediocre AAC v teams with something to prove. you may be right.

No need to apologize. I feel like Temple has more to prove. FIU is FIU. If you compare the schedules there are some interesting comparisons. Both actually played UMASS and Tulane.

To be frank, I didn’t even know Temple switched QBs. I thought the kid from CT who played against us was pretty bad.

Hadn't heard Frost was returning for the bowl game. Good news for UCF and kudos to Frost.

Couldn’t disagree more. I wouldn’t let anyone not staying within a mile of my campus.

It’s pretty clear why no one watches these games. They kind of are unwatchable. Also, there’s no one at the trop. Who funds this stuff?

The TV ratings are generally still good - but I can’t imagine watching this in person in a baseball stadium.

Temple definitely looks better. Would be shocked if they didn’t cover at this point. Under was the play.

Weird set of games today -- just 2 Friday afternoon matchups.

Bahamas Bowl: Ohio -6.5 vs UAB, 12:30, ESPN
Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Wyoming -3 vs Central Michigan, 4:00 ESPN

Being only vaguely aware they're playing football at UAB again, I'm not touching that one.

Putting some fake pennies on Wyoming -3 -- Craig Bohl has had a lot of time to get ready for the Potato Bowl.

Looks like some redditors had a blast at the Bahamas Bowl:

And here we are in the AAC stuck with tie-ins like the Frisco Bowl...

.-.
USF vs Texas Tech in Birmingham Bowl underway. TT just took a 10-3 lead late 1st q

I was at the UConn v Marshall Bowl at The Trop. TV angle showed it empty yet the side of stadium we were on was jammed full. As for the Birmingham Bowl we were also there when we playied and beat South Carolina. UConn had large fan contingent and S.Carolina had huge turnout and it was freezing cold that day. TT and USF fans are underwhelming to say the least.

USF fans won't even go to their own home games let alone to Birmingham on Christmas weekend.

Ok so when do they announce that Army has joined the AAC?

They've demonstrated, much like Navy and USAFA, with a good coach, they can compete against FBS schools.

If Christmas isn't your thing, good Christmas Eve matchup tonight...

Hawaii Bowl:
Fresno State -2.5 vs Houston, 8:30, ESPN

I think Fresno is going to win by a couple of TDs --hope I'm wrong!

Anyone feeling Houston tonight at -2.5 or do I have my AAC underated glasses on?

Fresno's only giving up 17 a game, and that includes the 41 they gave up to Alabama and the 48 they gave up to Washington (and the zero they gave up to Incarnate Word!). I was surprised they lost the MWC Championship to Boise.

Utah -7 vs WVU
Duke -5.5 vs Northern Illinois
KSU -6 vs UCLA

Who do we like today gents?

No idea on the bets...but if you watch the Duke game, keep an eye on Koby Quansah, LB from Manchester CT for a CT connection.

Koby Quansah

Watching BCU and Iowa tied 17 all in the 4th at the Pinstripe Bowl. Field’s gotta be frozen solid.

Go Hawkeyes. Beat those douchenozzles.

.-.
The Pac 12 will want to forget this bowl season...both USC and Washington looked overwhelmed

It drives me crazy that the Fiesta Bowl is being played on 12/30.

Rose Bowl: Georgia -2.5 vs Oklahoma, 5 PM, ESPN

Sugar Bowl: Alabama -3.5 vs Clemson, 8:45 PM, ESPN

Who you got? My fake pennies are on Oklahoma and Alabama.

I didn’t make any plays but would agree on Oklahoma.

Jesus what is this display ESPN has for this semifinal? I’m fine with a constant two-view with the normal camera and the skycam. But do they really need to suffer this kind of screen space so we can watch what the coaches are doing, and have a real-time barebones box score?

LOL - turn on ESPN not ESPN2.
