I like the changes Ollie made last night, and I am usually one of his biggest critics. Christian Vital is showing to be a player and the best pick up from the 2016 class. He is the mirror opposite of Rodney. Rodney and Jalen had horrible games especially Jalen who looked disinterested and very lackadaisical out there. Rodney's skills are suited for an up tempo high pace game and Jalen looks like he doesn't have the stamina for a fast break offense. Jalen made Marcus Williams look like Usain Bolt out there when he ran the offense. Despite how ugly the game was the team in general showed progress defensivley and offensively. We got good shots, but our guards were atrocious other than Christian Vital. If Adams played to 50% of his potential we would have won yesterday by 15 to 20 points.
Ollie made the right call going big and playing through our bigs as that is the only way we are going to win this year because we lack good shooters other than Vital right now. Christian did a good job feeding the post and our big men played well for the most part, and the defense was much better. Against Syracuse we need to play the same way with Enoch playing the high post to be the zone breaker, and Facey when Enoch is subbed out.
