The schedule is starting ease up now for Boston College; in its first six ACC games, the Eagles faced NC State twice, Louisville and Syracuse. They'll have a decent shot at winning several games now before a rematch with Louisville.
 
Ok, it's a 11:48 and I want to vote for BC! Please note this as the voting has been stopped! What's up with that? Game doesn't start for another 10+ minutes? Unless there's a para-mutual betting option that I somehow missed, why shut it down so early?
 
BC has started off 3 of 3 from THREE. 11-9, Eagles at the Q1 media timeout.

Notre Dame looks small compared to BC.
 
Why does it appear every game I watch of ND always seems to be AT ND? Brunelle is wearing a mask so @Dillon77 is right that maybe she did have a break on an elbow last games. So far she seems more active. 18-14 BC after 1Q
 
End of 1st quarter...BC leads 18-14.

Makayla Dickens for BC was 3 of 3 from THREE. The Eagles hit 4 from long range in the quarter.

There I was, all in support of Maddie playing as one of the top 3 freshman in the country and she's turned the ball over 2 times already in my 45 seconds of watching. She also seems to use her right hand to push off A LOT when dribbling with her left but just like vintage ND, the refs are not calling it...
 
Notre Dame has taken a 26-24 lead at the Q2 media timeout..BC will be at the line for a FT when play resumes.
 
Irish on the verge of blowing this thing open. Timeout BC...4:12 left Q2. Notre Dame leading 31-24.

Halftime: Notre Dame leads BC, 41-33. Dara Mabrey was a spark for the Irish in the second stanza.

It's been a while, but I don't remember her eliciting the kind of response from opposing fans that #2 did.
 
After Notre Dame got up by as much as 10 points...BC has tied things up at 49-49 at the Q3 media timeout.

Hmm. Did not know votes were public :eek::eek: but to justify my vote to the committee, NY's don't like anything with the word Boston.

As a die hard Yankee fan, I can certainly understand that! However my MM vitriol has not subsided so ND going into purgatory for me would suffice. If you look at the votes: 4 vs. 2, click on the number and it shows you who voted for each team... ;)

I'll just quickly poke my head in the room to point out that Boston College is 1-6 in conference with their only win coming over the wayward wannabes from the wastelands of north central Indiana.
 
Notre Dame on an 11-1 run...timeout BC. 70-59, just under 5 minutes to go in the game.
 
I don't know what THAT was...but BC, trailing by 8 points with less than 30 seconds left, decided to play defense instead of fouling.

Notre Dame wins, 83-73. Irish are now 7-5, 5-3 ACC. Poor BC falls to 5-7, 1-7 ACC.
 
Mabrey and Walker were excellent. ND looked really good in the 4th Q

Mabrey missed one shot all game. Played off the ball -- by design -- quite a bit, according to Coach Ivey, so she could get to an open spot and let it fly.

Walker actually took over bringing the ball up a few times and was effective. Of course, the other person was Westbeld, who can adeptly bring the ball up against pressure.
