He first says consistency from AK, Tarris, and Silas will likely determine how far this team goes.Interesting that he highlights Reed, Karaban, Demary, and Ball and then says the team's ceiling depends on Braylon Mullins and the backup center, no mention of Jaylin Stewart or Jayden Ross. Does that mean Mullins will be the fifth starter?
Pun intended?Solo has long arms but 7 foot wingspan seems like a stretch.
Alex will be our leading scorer in many games.Pun intended?
The one thing that gives me pause is that they're talking about Alex as a facilitator instead of Alex as a scorer. I recognize he won't be our primary option but we need points from him. Now, early reports was that he was lighting it up, so maybe this is just a difference in emphasis in his capabilities.

I think that’s just highlighting something in addition to his scoring. He’s probably going to be in the 12-14 ppg range with much better efficiency mostly because the overall offense will be better this season with more contributions from everyone else.Pun intended?

What do you mean, Ross was invited to Tatum’s camp last year?Givony’s stuff is always going to skew a bit more towards the NBA/guys who are likely to be drafted. So, a guy like Mullins is going to be more interesting to him than Ross or Stewart. I also like managing expectations for the freshmen. That’s where Reibe and Mullins are, with Furphy a step behind.
Maybe if Solo doesn't pan out in the NBA he can be a long snapper in the NFL?What do you mean, Ross was invited to Tatum’s camp last year?
Solo’s wingspan is actually listed as 7’1” online, not sure how official that is. He does have wildly long looking arms, huge hands and massive feet for his size. Part of what looks a little wonky about his foot speed is moving those giant feet around. He’s listed at size 15 online. That’s gigantic for a 6’2” kid.
How Alex revises his role on the floor is going to be really important. It will probably be a relief for him, and he’s the kind of kid that is smart and experienced enough to know how best to operate when he has a versatile roster around him. Kicking off the season doing a lot of passing may end up opening up things for him later in season.
I hope so both because I think that optimizes this team, and because I really want Alex to have a great season this year.Alex will be our leading scorer in many games.

So many exciting things to watch about this season, including Solo’s development. Last year it was more about asking how magical the staff was that they could make that roster a potential 3peat. No coach could have done much with it. This year there are so many toys in the garage.![]()

Honestly it makes sense - I like them both but how far this team will go won’t end up depending on Stewart or Ross. If we get a major contribution from one or both great but it’s the guys he mentioned that will make or break the season.Interesting that he highlights Reed, Karaban, Demary, and Ball and then says the team's ceiling depends on Braylon Mullins and the backup center, no mention of Jaylin Stewart or Jayden Ross.
