Those block numbers are insane. Seems like a kid that will improve every year. Sign him up.

TOS lists him at 6"-8" and earlier today I said to myself jeez, we don't need a 6'-8" post player, we need a big man. But Borges article says he's 6'-11", and judging by the video it's legit. At the rate he's growing maybe by the time he gets to Storrs he's 1.2 Hilton units.

2013 and 2014 seem to be loaded with 6'7-6'9 bigs.
There are less 7 footers these 2 years than ive ever seen.
its weird.

To Bezzz & ibleedhuskyblue point, that's why we need him because of the lack of decent 7 footers in these classes... Brimah & Facey along with 1 or 2 of these high-major 6'7-6'9 guys would be great going forward ... Both are great shot blockers too!

A couple things really stand out.......early on the video he blocks a shot and gets out in front of everyone to the other end - then the 2 handed block which he catches himself...........some skills there for sure!!!

I have to admit that I get nervous when we recruit kids whose families still live in impoverished countries. There always seems to be pressure every year to start a professional whether they're ready or not in order to support their families. It also presents a recruiting challenge for the coaching staff when they never know when a player will leave.

That lack of 7 footers this year may be the result of the colleges "picking the fruit early" by getting commitments from underclassmen???
