I think one good thing about last season was we played some good teams early. By doing that you identify your weaknesses and have time to built solutions. I have never seen a cupcake early schedule helping us ever. Even in the Rome/Stanley era it was particularly fool's gold. It just reinforced bad habits cuz they don't get recognized by the player if they are winning regardless of what Coach tells them.
