I know you can point to heart and hustle and leadership, but a lot of the fire and spirit is sucked out of the team when a series of unfortunate bonehead plays occurs.

I'd say this about our young team:

We're 5 bonehead plays per game (bppgs) away from being a tournament team.
We're 8 bppgs away from being a top 25 team.
We're 10 bppgs away from being a top 15 team.
And about 15 bppgs away from being a FF team.

Problem is, I just don't think that we have the maturity and experience to pull it off.

Here are just a few examples that I recall off the top of my head:

RB - taunting. Really?
Lamb off his leg, OOB followed on the next possession by RB off his leg OOB.
AD and AO with about 4 combined stupid fouls.
Olander gets a pass from the right baseline. He's at the free throw line on the left side. He takes one big step and bounce and is going toward two defenders with AO behind them. He throws an ankle-high skip pass through the crowd, OOB.
Inbound to DD in near right corner. He's trapped, turnover.
Next inbounds? to DD in near right corner. Trapped. Burn a TO.
Weak skip pass off defender's leg, AO can't handle low, deflected pass.
About 4 or 5 run outs where they were 1 step quicker up the floor because we were not committed to defense.
DD gets an open look from the right corner from 3 and rushes the crap out of it, throwing up air.

There were 20 others, easily.

These are mental errors. They occur because we are young and lack heart and poor coaching. They're fixable, but I don't think they're fixable in 4 weeks.

Things look grim boys. Very grim.

There are so many boneheaded plays that it is remarkable that we were able to get it back within 1o at all. It is very difficult with so few players on the team who can really handle the ball and pass.

That fact that they can fight back speaks to the very high level of talent and potential that this team has.
we have 4 regular season games and the BET to turn this season around. Long shot that they will do much this year but I will keep watching and cheering and hoping
