I am hoping we see more of a resemblance of a normal husky offense tonight. Maybe BOMB'S AWAY LEWIS can work into the team philosophy .

I think Lewis generally is taking the shots Geno wants her to take in their "normal" offense. Why wouldn't such a good long-range shooter take three-pointers that she will often make. IIRC, Geno said that KML may be the best long-range shooter UConn has ever had.

the interesting thing about that is she is currently 4th on the team in 3-point %. Tiff, Bria, and Caroline are all shooting a better % than she is. i agree, she's got terrific form and apparently she rarely misses in practice. i'm not sure why she's in such a slump in games recently...

I'm sure she is taking the shots GA wants . I also think that GA meant that she may become the best long range shooter huskies have ever had. Just thought that there were alot of very quick shots being taken against USF, without anyone in rebounding position. And it wasn't just KML. Husky offense has always demonstrated the extra pass for the high percentage shot. High assist ratio.

Actually 3rd - slightly ahead of CD. But KML, BH, and CD are so close that one made or missed shot can move a player from 4th to 2nd and vice versa. For example, if KML had made one more of her 142 attempts this year and if BH had missed one more of her 98 attempts, then KML would be ahead of her. That's how close it is.

All three are hitting between 37.3% and 38.8% - which in terms of shooting efficiency is the same as making around 57% of two-pointers. Taurasi, btw, made 38.6% of her threes as a frosh. She only had one year where she made more than 39%.

Cameron is reportedly a shooter-fiendly arena.

The game is on national television.

Ergo, Kaleena will be on target. Plus, she'll do her usual rebounding, stealing, and assisting.

I love the kid. She plays hard, has great attitude and is my favorite chucker on the team. Keep on firing KLM!

If Kaleena is working for KLM, she'll prolly be flying a Dutch-built Fokker as she does her firing.

A Tri-Fokker is the obvious plane of choice for someone known for raining down threes.

Where does he get such an idea? She may be the best in practice but not in the games. Hayes (42.4%) and Hartley (38.8%) are the best on this UCONN team. Doty and Lewis are tied for 3rd. at 37.3%. Is Geno giving her style points or a volume discount? She is a gunner. Lewis' 37.3% would tie her for 13th. best on UCONN all-time list. Sue bird at 45.9% is the best. Maya finished in 5th. place at 40.4%.
