Boise State-UConn in 2014 & 2018

Kentucky, Vandy and Auburn all show current openings in the SEC. Others which have possible openings are Northwestern (though that negates the BIG theory) and Miami (which negates the ACC theory). A series with any of those would be most acceptable, I think.

Kitty is having her ear scratched by HFD with Ms. Herbst licking kitty's furry little paws. I don't want to disgust you with what Warde is up to...

Yes, another non-BT, ACC game. Kitty...any comment?

Great news! Both Buffalo and Western Michigan have openings in 2014 and 2015!!! We could have our choice!

I think this is the first time you and I have agreed on anything. Big 4 team is preferable, but ACC for game no. 12 is fine. Just no MAC, Sun Belt, Patriot, etc etc

Actually ruskin, the only way I would want a Sunbelt or MAC is if ti met 3 conditions: 1. it was a one-off and 2. it gave us 8 home games. 3. It was not Buffalo. Under that scenario I think I could live with it, though my earlier post aside, I'd prefer not to ever play Buffalo again in the history of organized football.

I'm happy with 7 home games as it stands. An 8th home game vs. Sunbelt/MAC might (might) be overdoing it. Although would take a Sunbelt/MAC over Stony Brook. If big boys are scaling back on I-AAs, UConn definitely should consider it.

Very nice. Generous of Boise State. Let's play. I just hope Ollie picked the best logo out of all of them.

I like this game. Quality opponent and should be a exciting game.

Not sure if anyone else heard it this morning but Aresco was interviewed on XM radio about the NBE and its tv contracts for bball. Anyway he actually mentioned Warde and said that Warde has a lot of exciting opponents coming to the Rent. The way it was said made me think that there should be more announcements like this in the coming months. Wouldn't mind hearing about a series with Auburn or A&M caliber type school but thats just wishful thinking. Last thing that Aresco mentioned about Warde is a fierce competitor and will line his team up against anyone anywhere. Have to admit that at first I wasn't completely sold on Warde but hearing stuff like this is making me like the guy more.

Great get for Warde. Boise is a worthy opponent and the game will be on national TV. If we kick their ass, it will be even better for our program.

Seriously? Someone says good things about a person who has a say in his hiring and retention, and it makes you feel good?

You really need to pay less attention to words and more to accomplishments and actions.

Add W Michigan to that least. Bowling Green? Ohio? Maybe. But somebody new.

I understand that we have Stony Brook and Villanova in 2014 and 2015, as well as Towson this year, so it will be a few years before we end the 1AA games, if we do at all. But in the interest of fairness, while the BIG and the SEC might talk about it, several of them have similar games scheduled too. Anyone want to guess the score of next year's Ol' Miss-Presbyterian game for example?

Any non-Big 4 team with aspirations of getting in the playoffs will have to drop the IAAs. And it may be applying to the big boys sooner rather than later.

People were screaming for the AD's head. Patience pays off. Perhaps he really is a "rock star". Welcome to Connecticut, Warde. Please get us a new football head coach.

I was neither knocking nor defending Manual. I defend him from silly attacks all the time. But no one should get the benefit from empty praise anymore than they should get blamed for things they can't control.

I didn't take it that way... just popped @ same time you were talking about "actions" and figured it was a good place to share the news since many don't seem to care about WBB news.

just a feeling, but it could be that Warde was stopped from pulling the trigger on PP by SH/trustees (McHugh) and did the next best thing. As long as TJ has total control over the offense -- and we should know that by halftime Sept. 14 -- I can live with that.

Yup, and now it's on Warde to ensure that we actually make enough money to pay Geno.

This was a nice job by Warde. Well done! I also like the fact that we got the home game first, just in case future alignment sends the schedule into a tailspin. That will be a really nice game to add to the ones that are coming in...

Being sarcastic, most people around here will find a way to complain about it.
I'm surprised nobody has. When BYU was announced there were a ton of backhanded compliments.

Exciting stuff.

BYU, Boise and UCONN, is the answer to the question.............Name three schools that have all of their upcoming football games on national Television? What are we supposed to be disgruntled about again?

At halftime of the Michigan game UCONN should shoot Nelson out of a cannon for suggesting the football program be scrapped.
