Boise St will end up in the Big West along with SDSU. BE will bring in 14th member and it looks like Fresno State might make the most sense. Fresno can place their Olympic sports in the Big West as well to make it a 12 team league. Fresno also brings decent basketball so it will help prop that league up. BE really should just go to 16 and add Air Force and BYU as well. This set up makes most sense:
East: UCONN/RU/UCF/USF/Cincy/UL/Temple/Navy
West: SDSU/Boise/Fresno St/BYU/Air Force/Houston/SMU/Memphis
Memphis is the only one slightly out of the region. This is a pretty good league and should get a very nice TV deal.

What a disaster. This whole conference raiding and reconfiguring is terrible. I hope that Congress or the NCAA or ESPN & other networks step in and bring some order to college football. How could UConn's hopes & aspirations circa the early years of this century (Miami, Virginia Tech, Boston College, etc) have disintegrate into this Geographical Comical triage. Conference of the Misfit Toys.

I pretty much agree with the 16 teams, but we are going to have a hard time getting BYU. The tv thing that held it up last time will likely not change, unless BYU finds out that the Big12 isn't a viable option for them anymore. Regardless of what some might think, that is a solid conference right there, and I'd be happy to play in it.

Boise State has been playing football for just over 85 years, they have 2 NC's, 1 as a JC(1958) and 1 in D2(1980) to go along with their 2 Fiesta Bowl wins.
in their history they have a winning % of over .725 which puts them 2nd all time just behind Michigan, they have now been playing D1 for 16 years and have a winning % during that time of .782 which is #1 during that stretch ahead of Ohio State at .772
Boise State does NOT take partial qualifiers, this is a canard made up to explain how Boise State could be better then other teams who have been around a lot longer.
in the past decade Boise State won more games then any team has in over 100 years, you have to go back to the 1880's when Yale was playing 16 games a year against mostly club teams to find a team that won more in a decade.

Welcome to the Big EAst. Can't wait to see the orange and blue at Rentschler. I'm still not sure how I feel about the whole blue turf field thing though, we'll see when we get out there, I'm glad we'll be in white so we can see our guys.....

I agree. Not a bad conference and having an eastern and western division is something no other conference has and can have us come out of this smelling like a rose.
