I am still a fan of the western expansion idea.... Then figuring something out for basketball. Take the best of the rest and make and east and west division. We really couldnt give boise an extra 5 million to join??? San Diego st 2 million. I would rather share with them then Tulane or whatever.

wooooo woooo

Like.

Look ... there has got to be some way that WE can mutually advance the MWC and this Mess of a Conference playing Football and Basketball. Champions League. More good TV matches ... and less Wake Forest v Duke in FB ... less Texas Tech v TCU in HOOP.

I do not understand anyone who thinks that the MWC has any interest in 'mutual advancement'.

They want to advance at our expense.

Which is counterproductive. We should have been trying to make the pie bigger, not steal pieces from each other.

Yeah ...

My view is that there is a WHOLE LOT OF MIDDLE between Schools making $20m per year (*basically for Football) and less than $2m. How do you PROVIDE Content to serve that. Name Brand Programs from the Have-Nots need to Play in well-promoted games ... and give a good show. If Boise Plays Cincinnati ... most any year of the last few ... I think that is a far better game than South Carolina playing 8 other SEC Programs or across conferences with 80% of the B12 or ACC (and you can swing that through the ACC or the B1G or the B12). There are a few extraordinarily valuable high-interest Programs (Alabama, USC, Ohio State, Michigan); then there are some eyepopping Teams that aren't getting paid.

Champions League in Europe. Whatever it takes. Good Football. Good Basketball. Husky games at a high level.

There is a Paradigm: a handful of Conferences (with Schools/Programs that are parasites) are sucking up lots of valuable airtime. Still, there is a hunger for more content. If UConn v Tulane ain't gonna cut it ... what will? Well, solid solid cross-continental games (because of the 24 schools, there is bound to be some high-flyers). There has to be some ability to get more revenue.

if uconn, cinncy, S fla wanted to keep the western part around they could have. I still think they should of. We could have joined the c7 for basketball for now. I am sure they would take us for the time being. Its business and we have something to offer. Then we could have been in a better football conference be it not the best rivalry wise but playing a top 25 boise st everywhere would make it a rivalry game. Plus you mess up the mwc and we would still get the extra bcs bowl or whatever they call it now.

I think that is within the realm of the possible to create a "Champions League" type set up in Basketball in addition to the conference/league framework.

Given our status, this would be a great thing for us.

I actually hope we get rid of PP looking at the OOC now. We need a dynamic coach who can pull off a Brian Kelly run (forgive my use of him as an example).

That dude wearing the horse head mask at the end of the clip was just creepy!
