I don't see anything wrong with what Boeheim said. If a long time friend/family member was accused of something to this extent, you'd be pretty defensive about it as well.

This isn't a family member. He's a coach at a university. People in those positions should hold off on accusing victims of lying. I don't think you have a good analogy.
