Baseball to open new facility for the 2020 season. All fields will be artificial turf, including soccer. Soccer being a turf field is a surprise to me.

Turf would be viable if the long-term goal is for the new soccer facility to house both soccer (men's and women's) and lax (men's and women's) programs as there will not be much room left in that part of this campus after this project and the hockey arena expansion for another field.

Actually there's the whole Separatist Tract behind Freitas. It's big enough to build a football stadium on it, IIRC.
