I just went back and watched his introduction. It got me pumped back then.
But when asked about his offensive philosophy, he said:
"tempo changes .... chuck it downfield a bunch ... attacking ... deep verticle passing game" etc.
Then why do we run the ball up the middle on first down on 95% of our possessions?

While I'm one of the few still on his side, I have to ask, WTF?
Our offense is quite offensive.

I don't think he completely understood the lack of talent/will we have on our OL. Can't throw the ball down field when our OL doesn't give the necessary time to let a deep pass develop.

"We want to attack the defense vertically through the air. Produce a balanced, aggressive high octane offense. We will run the ball with passion."

Said every coach ever hired.

This is why nobody should listen to what coaches say. Diaco didn't even know what his roster looked like at that point. He hadn't even met the players yet. Why would anyone think that what he was saying was truthful? How could it be?
