You guys are losers! The guy made a mistake if the play had been a score all you would be saying the complete opposite. Support the team and quit your crying. It's a GAME!! Go huskies played your heart out

Only one way to settle this if they aren't going to fire him: Make him run out of the tunnel solo pregame next week so we can show him how entertained we are with his play calling.

The problem for me started with the run on third and 7 in our end. Throw the damned ball. Then our crappy net 10 yard punt...where is the coverage?

We march downfield...kudos to the guys. Thomas with a first down catch, dances out of bounds...and 30 seconds comes off the clock! Nobody even notices? Then he calls the dumbest time out ever, I mean whatever play you had...run it then call time out. Then after blowing that, he still runs? Wtf?

.-.
I have a rule that I don't criticize anyone who does something better than I could. That's why I don't criticize umps and refs; I know I couldn't do any better.

But I know I could call a better game than Diaco with less than two minutes to go.

.-.
If we opened up the playbook like in the second half, we should never been down 21 to Navy in the first place. We did everything possible to give this game away.

Diaco is not the head coach we need. He is either dumb as duckk or he really has no clue how to coach.

Or both.

What does "It's a game" mean? You realize being a head football coach is how BD feeds his family.... He can't keep making mistakes like that and expect to keep feeding his family has UConn's head ball coach.

I would allow you to manage the clock, but he did get us to the 1 yard line. I trust him more than you on that front.

The second half went a little too long and his medication wore off leaving him confused and excited.

Geese...tough break

Did anybody else think Navy should have been called for a facemask on that 3rd down play?

Diaco: In a petri dish you can look at it and "video game" it, and get two plays... but we were on the half yard line.

Diaco: now you're on the half yard line. If we throw, what if it's picked? what if it's batted? I know all of that.

UCONN was not supposed to win this game and had every opportunity to do so except you decide to play the what if game. what have you to lose! Hiw about this Bob..what if Johnson was stopped cold on a slow developing play in the backfield.

That was the first thing out of my mouth but on the replay it looks like he got grabbed on the jersey from behind, no face mask. The fact he wasn't calling for one makes me think it was nothing and just an illusion.

To this point, I have never written anything critical of Coach Diaco. But today, he alone is responsible for this disappointing loss and he should acknowledge it to his players and fans and then move on. And to the UConn team, very proud of your performance today.

The replay showed it was not a face mask. He grabbed the jersey on the shoulder, between the front and the back. Close to horse collar but not quite.

I somehow feel even worse after listening to this gutless idiot. It's depressing to know this is how our coach thinks and saying it means he still hasn't learned his lesson.

With the game on line HEAD COACH admits we didn't know what we we're doing:

The previous play to Hergy, we didn't know what was going on, were not going to get the play off, so I burned the time out.

What does that mean we didn't know what was going on!?!

So you burned the timeout because you are always confused about things that happen fast and situations that involve a plan B. We get it. Now it's either 1st and goal or 2nd down from inside the 1 yard line which you know because you burned our last time out. You have time for maybe 3 plays either way so it doesn't matter AT ALL what down it was going to be. Knowing this you send in play #1 that guarantees you at least 1 more shot probably 2 to score. Right? Right? Wrong! None of this was complicated except for our coach and a few posters on this board who should probably not be making life and death decisions at a crosswalk with the numbers counting down.

The last sentence of this post is likely the funniest thing I have ever read here, which says a lot. Hysterical!

How about if you don't call people stupid if your're posting about rules you don't know about. Outside the last two minutes clocks only stop when you go OB until the ball is reset.

Better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you're an idiot than post something and remove all doubt. This loss is hard enough to take without having to deal with people who feel free to criticize without knowing what they are talking about.

Douchey post of the year. Congrats, Newbie.

Yes, the post was douchey. But I will say one thing. We have a huge, experienced OL and we were playing against a smaller Navy D that was on their heels. What Diaco did was idiotic because it minimized our odds of winning. The smart play there is throw a quick hitter on 2d down, throw a quick hitter on 3rd down and then on 4th you run or throw -- whatever you think will work.

But is no one but me disappointed that our OL didn't just simply blow everyone off the line there and let RJ walk in? Yes, saying HCBD cost is the game is totally fair, but why the heck didn't the OL simply do their jobs and take him off the hook.
