Boatright ruling expected in the next day or two .....

all the article really talks about is where the allegations came from and how much UCONN needs him. there's no clarification as to what the NCAA may do. it sounds like they are going to determine if he's eligible at all, which doesn't make it sound very good, but that's probably me reading too much into what's going on. and they talked about the allegations coming from the ex BF of Ryan's mom, but they don't say what Ryan was accused of.

i remain hopeful. i think UCONN did the right thing in holding him out. but i have no idea how serious the allegations really are or if they are even true.

The Times article said there will be a follow-up article on Tuesday (tomorrow). I thought the NCAA would try to resolve this matter before the Times writer unloaded on them again but I guess not.

I'm actually thinking that the NYT article may make the NCAA give a harsher penalty as they would not want egg on their face if they absolved RB of any wrongdoing after having him sit out the last few games including his homecoming.

That's my fear also. The self-righteous, self-important, self-serving bosses at the NCAA may want to show they don't take crap from anybody, including the NY Times.

The CTPost also has the articial on the situation pertaining 2 Boatright, let's hope the NCAA realize the kid is being punish over a ex boyfriend

We know damn well that the NCAA will find a violation with punishment for at least the number of games actually missed so far and maybe a few more to make themselves look better even if the original offense and this one would not have resulted in a suspension any longer than the original one in the first place. I'd be totally astounded if they find no additional violations.

I also think that if Susan Herbst is worth her salt (granted I don't know if she feels that this is a battle that makes sense for her to fight) , that even if every sane (I'll be the judge of that) person agrees that RB should be sanctioned exactly as the NCAA determines, she will push the NCAA - i.e. with the help of other presidents. - to do something reasonable about its lousy, arbitrary, unstructured procedures. And maybe at the same time stop me from using so many parenthetical phrases.

They need to break away from the NCAA, that is what needs to be done.

And Cam Newtown, whose farther shopped his services to at least one school for $30K, not a $300 plane ticket, leads Auburn to a national football championship, raking in millions for Auburn, the BSC clowns, and the NCAA. Anybody have a clue what the NCAA’s motive is about? Football over basketball or is this just a vendetta against Calhoun & UConn for winning the NCAA championship in the middle of an investigation last year over a guy who never played a minute at UConn?

I swear that Conehead is no relation, although I am losing my hair.

According to Mrs. Boatright, this NCAA ruling is taking even longer than the line through security on her plane ride.

They are biblical days, they could last thousand or billions of years.

I know that I read somewhere it would take a day or two for them to make a ruling on this situation, but to me it seems like 3 weeks and 5 days. The first day seemed like a week and the second day seemed like five days. And the third day, which was yesterday, just seemed like a day. The fourth day, Thursday, started out feeling like two days, but if they don’t make a decision this evening, I’m sure today will feel like a six or eight days.

Enough already!!
How many NCAA investigators does it take to make a decision??
