I wouldn't mind seeing Omar rewarded for sticking with it and working hard this off season, it can also serve as a confidence boost and hopefully he can get back on track - we can really use his freshman year 3 point shooting

That might also serve as keeping Omar's intensity level continuously high, especially on defense. Responsibility can do that to guys.

Also might be telling who did not get rave reviews for hustle, or a captaincy. I remain worried about our PF position. Happy with everything else.

That could also simply be a factor of the PF being such an unknown at this point. Far less questions (and more depth) at the other positions.

I think many people in the country don't understand that a major factor into making that run this past March was because of the true "brotherhood" in the locker room that the players preach about. I'd go so far as to say there wasn't a healthier locker room in the country than ours. This seems to be continuing. I'm not sure if this is Ollie's brilliance (the brotherhood began to be preached when he came around) but I don't know if I've ever seen so much love by teammates displayed publicly like it has with KO.

It has certainly been a factor in our recruiting. Hamilton mentioned this as one of the main factors in his decision to attend UCONN. Purvis cited this as well.

But I'd say that 'the brotherhood' has been around a lot longer than you are giving credit for. It's the one reasons we have so many former players around and involved in the program (even at the coaching level). I don't see too many other schools like it when I look around the college landscape.

JC created the UConn fraternity and the tradition continues under KO. It will be interesting to see how KO continues to keep up this brotherhood and family type feel. It won't be like that every year, guys won't get along and there will be locker room tension (i.e. 2011-12 team) but so far KO has done a great job of getting the team to buy into himself and themselves

KO is definitely continuing on what JC built, but let's not forget he also implemented some things to strengthen the team bond after the disastrous 2011-2012 season. The players cited him bringing in that team psychologist as a big reason for the improved team chemistry and communication during the 2012-2013 season, and they were able to keep it going from there.

I think Calhoun built the brotherhood based on respect and school history and tradition. Ollie has more of a love focus on top of all that. And it is all fantastic.
