  1. Creighton scores first, but consecutive 3s by Mullins and Solo put us up by 4.
  2. Seven buckets between the two teams. Six of them are three pointers. Four of those 3s are ours.
  3. The 3 pointers keep on coming. 25- 22 at the 7 minute mark. 18 of our 25 points have come on 3 pointers, as have 12 of Creighton's 22.
  4. Tarris finally gets a bucket with just over 3-1/2 left in the half.
  5. Open the lead to 8 at 1:24.
  6. Up 11 at the half.
  7. Shooting percentages at the half, 50/53/60 for the good guys and 41/50/88 for the bird guys. Rebounding/assists/ steals/blocks is 21/7/2/2 to 10/6/3/1.
  8. The BJs hit the first bucket of the 2nd half to cut our lead back to 9. But from that point on, the game was essentially over.
  9. Come on Solo you can't throw a pass shin high to Tarris in the paint. Hey, I had to have SOMETHING to bitch about, didn't I?
  10. Lead going to 20 points at 12:46 forces a Creighton timeout.
  11. And now they are calling a foul on us just about every Creighton possession.
  12. Our lead hit 30 with 6:45 to go.
  13. Reibe finally scored at 4:02. At that point, all 9 of the guys who'd been on the floor had scored, and the end of the bench played most of the last 4 minutes.
  14. 54/52/43 % scoring spread compared to 41/24/71 for Creighton. 37/16/5/2 to 24/10/4/2 in boards, dimes, steals and blocks.
  15. If you don't have a problem with 7 FT attempts to 24 for them other guys, you might be a Creighton fan.
  16. Creighton had 15 points on 3 pointers. We had 48. That 33 point difference was more than our 28 point margin of victory.
  17. Our BENCH went 8 for 13 from 3. I'm not going to waste time trying to look for the last time our bench outscored the other team from 3, because I'd be shocked if it ever happened before.
  18. Was it just me, or did this game have the vibe of the way we played January/February '24?
  19. Creighton's largest lead was 2, and they led for barely more than a minute in total, and their last lead was at 10:32. Our largest lead was 30, and we led for 37-1/2 minutes. Even my pessimistic nature couldn't make me worry about losing this one... even for the first 9 or 10 minutes, when we couldn't seem to get the lead over that 4 to 6 point range.
  20. Almost forgot... Though it was really a group effort, I'll go with Alex as my choice for POG. fifteen points, 6 boards (5 offensive boards!) , 2 dimes, a steal and a block. It wasn't so much the volume of his contributions, it was the timeliness of many of them.
