Blue/White Night, 11/2 @7p (Updated)

Dan Hurley gets to control the vibe (and content) and its more like real BB ..Not reality BB like First Night

Here’s your open practice. Open to all, just claim a ticket.

To get ahead of the questions, it’s not on a Saturday because they have closed scrimmages on 10/22 and 10/29.

Awesome. How are the teams chosen?

Highly recommend this if it is anything like last year’s open practice, just a really cool window into the team’s identity and how Hurley runs his program.

Saw so many things that stayed with us all season from being there like watching Tyrese being challenged to turn his toughness into leadership and Hawkins being coached up on confidence as a freshman and that was the day we learned Kimani is an absolute rockstar as an assistant.

Agreed. Went with a friend last year, got courtside seats. Just got some awesome insight into the program. Hurley came over and made some comments to us, asking if he was swearing too much.
Kimani was like a second head coach out there.

This is one of the things I like about Hurley. Was also evident from the Kimani video they posted this week. He knows he's gonna get a head coaching job soon and seems to be really grooming him to be ready to take advantage

I imagine that the 2023 season will be Kimani's last one before he takes a HC gig. I don't think he'd leave after this season right before the best class in school history is about to come on campus

Anybody know if you have to claim tickets for the new date or if you can get in with tickets from the original date? TIA.

I would like to know this, too. Probably will be ok with original tix but don’t want to show up and be turned away

If you downloaded them to your virtual wallet before the date change, the new date should show up automatically in your virtual wallet on the original tickets.

same day/time as men's soccer final home game vs. Big East leading G'Town

From the Borges secret scrimmage article:

“UConn was originally slated to host its Blue/White Night on Monday, but rescheduled it for Nov. 2 in hopes that the Huskies will be able to field more of a complete team by then. If Karaban can participate, the event is likely to be more of an intrasquad scrimmage, perhaps divided into three 10-minute quarters. If Karaban can't play, the event will likely be more of an open practice.”

Was hoping I would be able to attend this but will be in Tortola the 2nd. Painkillers will help with the disappointment of missing it

“That was a fine rebound Donovan. Very nice indeed”
