This is from an ESPN Insider article by Joe Lunardi. The bright side is we're officially a blue blood.
"The good news is that UConn hung on Wednesday night to clip Harvard at home (separately ending any serious talk of the Ivy being a two-bid league for the first time). The bad news is that it wasn't a conference game, so Connecticut's 0-2 mark in the new American Athletic Conference stays on the board at least until Saturday, when Central Florida pays a visit.
The main problem is that the American doesn't appear to have the coattails this season we may have expected. For every Cincinnati that has excelled, there are too many Louisville, Memphis and Temple types that have left multiple opportunities on the table. Something like 10-8 in the league isn't likely to cut it, so the Huskies will need big résumé wins against the likes of Louisville, Memphis and Cincinnati to recover from their lost journey through Texas.
Tourney odds: 50 percent"
