After several games, Allen say and held court for a good long time with Jeremy Lamb at his left, soaking it all in. Allen, who is preparing for the NBA season with the mind-set the lockout
will end and Celtics camp will begin on time, will be back at UConn a few more times this week. He wants to do some one-on-one work with Lamb and Roscoe Smith among others.
"I want to show them how to get into the rhythm, the template of being a shooting guard," Allen said.
Can't ask for a better teacher. Jeremy and Roscoe, soak it in.

Roscoe a shooting guard?

How sweet is that? If Ray is teaching you to shoot- and you still can't shoot when he is done-you can't shoot.

When I read an article like this, I can imagine why UConn is on so many high schooler's list!

I wish ESPN would do a spot on how former UConn players like Ray and Rudy were back on campus, shooting around with the team. I can't even imagine what type of impact that would do for recruiting.

Ray is the best, Hall of Fame player and person. With him instructing, that's about as an advanced seminar as it gets.

was 1 foot from ray...so pissed i left my jersey in the room...dayum...yeah he was talking with lamb, boat, and roscoe all sitting and listening to him...probobly for a good 40 minutes...what a crazy two days...rudy gay yesterday...ray allen today...wonder whose next....haha love uconn bball

What I love the most about Ray is that after all these years, when he talks UConn basketball, it still is, and always has been WE. Not they. We. He is the prototypical JC Husky.

Definitely a great thing to hear. The 99 and 2004 teams were very very deep so to hear Ray say that this team tops those teams (whether it really does or not) in terms of depth is nothing but a positive.

...watch the video of our first national championship....the celebration on the floor after the win, JC saying to Ray; "we did it Ray, we did it..." followed by a huge hug...

Ray helped us get Rashad Anderson. He "just happened" to be on campus the weekend Rashad visited. He also happened to be Rashad's favorite NBA player...

Ray Allen is the greatest shooter in nba history and a first ballot hall of famer and just an amazing human being. the knowledge he shares with this team is absolute gold.

Hope so. It's not about the money he doesn't need.
