Wow. I don't know what kind of a basketball player Nicole Kornet is, but I am pretty confident that she is going to be a terrific writer, leader, or just about anything else she puts her mind to. What emotional insight!
...or at least Hard Working. It's when the two get together that Geniuses are made. Regardless, a great read from quite an individual.I would point out that Nicole was a first team Academic All-Big 12 selection as a Junior at Oklahoma, and a second team Academic All-Big 12 choice as a sophomore. Looking at her numbers, I feel pretty confident is saying she got these awards because she is really smart. It shows in her blog.
Yup, I guess it means they're smart enough to know where they can be a diva, be the star, and not have to work hard enough to win championshipsSo those players who don't choose this school or that school because "they want to be divas," "they want to be the star," "they are afraid of hard work" or "don't want to win a championship" sometimes are just smart enough to know when a university just seems like the "right fit" for them.

Brave, a lot of people probably wouldn't have admitted that they didn't get into Stanford (even though its hard enough to get in).I enjoyed this quote particularly - "You want a coach to like you right off the bat? Learn how to play defense."
Her other blog entry on why she transferred is also well worth reading - This Is A Story Of A Girl: The Untold Tale of the Not-So-Typical Transfer
