In 2003 in Atlanta in a scene somewhat out of a TBA clock malfunction, UConn players looked up to see that their attempt for a second consecutive title was facing a hellishly uphill battle. They had clawed their way to a 13-point lead, but then UTenn had clawed their way right back, and when Brittany Jackson somehow got a tumbling sprawl of a 3-pointer to go, the Huskies were suddenly down by 61 at 66-5.

Eh? Say what? Okay, maybe the scoreboard keeper got too caught up in looking at Jackson or something or maybe the TBA gremlins made a visit from over in Knoxville, but things were definitely not looking good at that point on the scoreboard for the Huskies. Not entirely sure what happened after that point, but rumor is that Diana decided to punch the daylights out of something orange and buried a 65-point shot from downtown Atlanta to put the Huskies back in the lead at 70-66. They then held on with some late Ann Strother free throws to win by 73-68.

Hoping that everything stays normal tonight.
