Blast from the past: Adjectivise this image

While various threads on a variety of subjects have included emphatic statements about what Geno, CD, and the UConn basketball program allows its players to do and not do, it seems to be a great time to drag up one of those newsmaking photos from the past. Back in the 2008-2009 season, some of the Huskies showed off a new uniform that had at least some people seeing red, and a photo of the display quickly flashed on to a huge number of sports sites and was accompanied by various comments that will not be detailed on a proper and family-oriented site like the BY.

Now the link to the particular version of the image shown here was taken from a Cro-Mag sports blog site whose main goal in life was to endlessly reiterate how boring UConn and WCBB basketball are, so the use of the photo to headline a Dec. 2010 piece called "Not Caring About the UConn Women's Record Win Streak Doesn't Make You Are a Chauvinist," which is a hoot because most red-blooded Americans taking a gander at this photo would have a lot of reasons to care very much about UConn women's basketball, though the caption here was "Pictures like this don't help." I mean what???? Doesn't help your blood pressure?

So the question is, in an article about how boring the UConn women were, what adjective was used in the balloon caption about this picture when you had the pointer over it?

1. Boring
2. Slow
3. Predictable
4. Unwatchable
5. Sexy

Sorry, "All of the above" is not an allowable choice.

Personally, I thought it was "I got my girls' backs, and if you say they're boring there's a few things I am going to have to educate you about."

Now since TH got to do the classic version of Al Green's confessional "Take Me to the River," it would be great if in return Green did a version of Psycho Killer that someone could dig up.

There were 14 members on the Husky roster that year, and only 8 in the pic, so who the snaps culprit was is open to speculation. Tina is a likely choice, and of course Maya is also not in the pic, but I don't remember her as being a paparazzi. Kalana and Heather are also not shaking down here, so along with Cassie they might be the ones who deviously conspired to land the team on all sorts of breathless sports blogs across the nation that exclaimed, "Whoooooeeeee, they can win 90 games in a row, and sure they're just women, but man they look really good doing it. But hey, Kailie, I'm really sorry I said 90 is less than 88. My stupid!"

And yeah, there were some comments that number 22 (Meghan) was "hard to forget." I think Kailie's look might have been in that category also.

Definitely one of those Baylor dancing girls, and not something that would have been allowed there back when some of us were growing up.
