Blast from the past: 1986 NC game b/w USC and Texas

Pretty poor picture quality, but a good time killer. The first undefeated team in WCBB history defeats a very good USC squad with Cheryl Miller and Cynthia Cooper. Clarissa Davis caps her MOP-winning performance.

No three-point line, yet, but a lot of athleticism on both teams.

Of course, almost 20 years later, USC and Texas would play in one of the greatest national championship games ever...but that was a football game.

I was rooting for USC, but Texas' Clarissa Davis, only a freshman at the time, was too much. Holly Ford's brother, Don, played in the NBA with the Lakers and Cleveland. Rhonda Windham is one of my all time favorite point guards. IMO, there were at least five players, in this game alone, better than that year's Wade Trophy winner, Kamie Etheridge: Two of whom were Ms Etheridge's teammates.
