I assume we will see Blanca on campus on June 2!
The Molise Regional Council has approved the school calendar for the year 2024/2025, which will regulate periods of educational activity and closures for vacations and vacations. Classes will kick off on Thursday, September 12, 2024, while the last day of school for most institutions will be Saturday, June 7, 2025.

School on Saturday? I like the dedication.

German schools are in session six mornings a week, with afternoons spent at specialty programs (sports, music, art, etc.). Italy is most likely similar.

New interview with Blanca. The font is terribly small, sorry to say. You'll have to switch it to English unless you read Italian.

Blanca says she got offered by Tennessee, Iowa, and Kentucky among many others.

The first sentence is interesting. When I clicked the link to read the rest, this happened:

502 Bad Gateway

nginx

The same thing happened when I clicked on the other link below the text.

It must be your system because I'm having no issue getting to the site.

Thanks for the quick reply. I get the same result at the primary NCAA site as well.

Hmmm,,..a mystery to work on.

I get the same error message with three different browsers, even when clicking the link at the primary website:

Understanding the Error:
  • A 502 Bad Gateway error is a server-side issue, meaning the problem originates from the website's backend infrastructure, not your device or internet connection.

  • It signifies that a gateway or proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server, often due to server overload, network issues, or misconfigurations. ”

Fine article! Thanks, Sluconn Husky!

After insoluble problems with Safari and Brave, Duck Duck Go worked like a charm. Still have no idea what's causing the glitch.

In addition to the Italian text, there is a button for translating the article.

her recruitment process was far to be normal, her goal was Uconn and once she had their interest she stop searching other opportunities... Uconn was very fast to understand her value and her intentions and they blow up all the others, even South Carolina tried to interfere when they understood her value... This is what I heard here

I guess we have an answer to the question that has bedeviled a few other threads: who will lead the team? Blanca says she wants to lead. I really hope it works out that way for her and the team. In the final amateur tournament this season she certainly looked like a leader, or better, like an adult among children.

Is she wearing some sort of brace on her left leg in the short video about halfway through the swipes?

And when you least expect it, that moment you saw so far away... arrives.
How do you sum up in a few words everything you've experienced in six years? How do you explain the feeling of leaving a place you never thought you'd call "home"?
These six years have given me everything I needed to shape the person I am today, gifting me friendships I'll cherish forever, and experiences that have left a lasting impression.
I've had to go through many difficult times, but the moments of laughter and happiness have always been greater.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been and will be part of this journey. Those who, despite the distance, were present and trusting, and those who are no longer with us...
To the fans who filled every step with joy and made this journey even more special, to God, for never abandoning me and giving me such a huge opportunity, and above all to Blanca, who decided to risk everything and never stopped dreaming...
I have a thousand things to say and so many other people to thank, but this story, even if it feels like a goodbye... is just the beginning.
Magnolia, thank you for always believing in me. See you when we return. ❤️

I think this message from a campobasso fan need to be translated

“Because it’s important to tell those who don’t know you: Blanca, you’re an absolutely extraordinary player, but believe me, that truly comes second to your humility, your kindness, your sense of belonging, your disarming simplicity, and your humanity!! Fly, Blanca!!”

Blanca Quinonez measurements

For those who like measurements, here are in detail the various measurements taken during the Without Borders competition, which were taken a year ago. For my part, I especially noted her speed for the ¾-court sprint and even more impressively, I know she can do it almost as fast dribbling the ball. She could be nicknamed speedy. As a first attachment you'll find her measurements. Blanca wears #46 with the Sun Team. The second attachment is the official website and finally the final game with a commentator. You can find the other games by surfing the site, however there is no commentator for the other games. So far there have been a lot of posts about Blanca coming to UConn, hopefully this hasn't already been posted.

The table lists Blanca as 6'2", which seems about right. In the accompanying BWB video, Blanca jumps the opening tip against Tilda Trygger who is listed as 6'6", and Blanca looks to be about 4" shorter than Tilda. Blanca wins the tip, as it happens.

Tilda Trygger, the player who faces Blanca on the jump ball, played for NC State last season. She had an interesting first season (attachment), playing an average of 22 minutes per game. There were 39 players at the camp, probably one who withdrew at the last minute. At the end of the camp 34 were offered Div.1 scholarships. Ajsa Sivka, who attended, was drafted in the first round, at No. 10 WNBA; she was one of only 4 participants born in 2005, the others were all from 2006 and were not eligible for the latest WNBA Draft. This year's Without Borders Camp (BWB) will be held in Indianapolis from July 17 to 19 (attachment). Maybe Gino will be there - he's had a successful camp, along with Aaliyah Edwards, Nika Muhl and Blanca Quinonez.

August 3rd:

Over the last couple years I've watched all the top US HS players in these international tourneys and domestic postseason tournaments and All Star games. And I haven't seen any of them attack a defender under control in the open court, turn them inside out with a spin, and actually finish like Quinonez does here. Come to think of it I haven't seen a UConn kid do it like this, even against a team like Butler or Xavier. I think she'll get some PT.
