While none of these individual results is particularly surprising, still nice to see:
  • Green Bay beat #24 Arizona State, 61-48.
  • George Washington beats Wisconsin, 61-46 (intriguing matchup between GW and its former coach).
  • South Dakota State beats NC State, 75-67.
  • UTEP beat Arkansas, 64-61.
  • Elon beat Alabama, 60-55.
  • Chattanooga beat Northwestern, 61-44.
  • Butler beat Virginia Tech, 69-67. (Butler may not technically be a mid-major but close enough.)

Elon is an interesting team. One has to think that Charlotte Smith is waiting on the North Carolina job to open up.

A couple more to add to the list:

Buffalo beat Clemson, 61-41.
Louisiana Tech beat Penn State, 71-59.

I must say, Brooke Stoehr has done an admirable job stabilizing the Lady Techster program after the dumpster fire left behind by the Golden Child.

Good for Jen Rizzotti and her team!
Nice win. Unfortunately, the night before, they lost to Vanderbilt. Which is having a dreadful season (again).

What is really nice for Jen is that GW stepped in to host the tournament originally scheduled for the Virgin Islands. GW was = to the best of my knowledge - always supportive of WBB and hence, how the school has - on average - been successful.
