I think one key to being a great coach/leader is to have a genuine father like love for your players. All of the great coaches are revered by their former players (who frequently call their coaches a father figure). Nobody was tougher on his players than Lombardi and his players ended up loving him for it and Lombardi genuinely loved them like a father. We have seen it with Calhoun and Geno and I think Hurley has learned this trait from his father.
