We were horrendous yesterday, had no clue how to break a press, shot 3-17 from three, 50% from the line, Purvis got hurt and was a zero. The good news is we couldn't possibly have played worse and the game was still there for the taking if we could have gotten out of our own way. Normally you expect to get slaughtered when you play that horribly.

We did not shoot well, but when we were able to break the press we were getting pretty easy looks in transition which kept us in the game. The first play when Boat tried to pass to Facey and it got taken away for the and-1 at the other end really set the momentum for the rest of the game. There's no reason to pass to Facey that far from the basket and it gave all the momentum to WV who never gave it back. The first play of the game defined the game.

It seems like people are almost trying to one-up each other for the most ridiculously sweeping conclusion, but yours might be tough to beat.
I'm still going to call the "if we were in the old Big East there's no way we make the tournament" comment the champ at this point, but that is another good one.

1) No reason to throw it there at all - other than it was the start of the designed play. I'm sure Boat would then make a cut off the ball and Purvis or Hamilton would rotate up towards the ball.

2) Hamilton hit a three 10 seconds later, and the score was 3-3. Momentum gone.
