2014 might be the least lucky Championship of all time. They went through a veritable murders row of opponents.

Beat the champs from the A-10, Big East, Big 12, Big 10, and SEC (#1 overall, on 30 game win streak... last loss to UConn) in succession only to defeat Kentucky - who some said had the best recruiting class of all time - to win the whole friggin' thing.
 
That there is no UConn basketball history before Jim Calhoun. Sure he brought it up a couple of notches but any one who is old enough has some great memories. 1964 elite 8, 1976 sweet 16.

Alternatively, that being a "member of the family" disqualifies you from being a good assistant and that all of our problems will go away if we hire someone from the outside.
 
That Clyde Vaughn had more player-developmental impact on the program than anyone not named Calhoun, and in fact, might be the greatest big mans coach of all time.
