Composite #20.
Not too familiar with the 'Rines history, but know it hasn't been glowing -- could this be their highest rated player ever?

ASGR#19 Katelynn Flaherty 5-7 PG 2014 has verbally committed to Michigan. Flaherty plays at Manasquan HS NJ & AAU for NJ Demons.

Who were her finalists? That might tell quite a bit about how highly she was thought of by collegiate coaches...

I don't know her finalists, but this summer she made unofficial visits to Georgia, Michigan, Louisville, Kentucky and Wake Forest. And she was about to make a visit to Vanderbilt this weekend but canceled the visit after the Commodores added 2 guards over the past 3 days (Christa Reed and Paris Kea).

She had planned to name her finalists after completing her unofficial visits this month, but obviously those plans changed. In addition to Michigan, she also visited Virginia Tech, Georgia, Louisville, and Kentucky this month and also had Ole Miss on her visit list, although it appears she never made it there. She had planned to take official visits before making a decision, but it seems that the unofficials were enough (and it was very clear that the Michigan visit went very well).

One of the New Jersey beat writers has said that Flaherty is "in the mix" for McDonald's All-American honors. Michigan has never had one, so needless to say this is a huge commitment.
